Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance.

  • Lead and mentor nursing staff to achieve performance targets and professional growth.

  • Monitor and report unit metrics; use data to drive improvement initiatives.

  • Manage unit workflow to optimize patient throughput and reduce wait times.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.

  • Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans with physicians, therapists, and support staff.

  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet demand.

  • Ensure safety culture and incident reporting with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate rapid problem-solving for clinical and operational issues.

  • Champion professional development and provide constructive feedback for growth.

  • Engage in contract-specific responsibilities and maintain accountability for own outcomes.


Experience/Qualifications

  • RN license active in the relevant state with current BLS/CPR certification.

  • Proven nursing leadership experience in acute or inpatient settings.

  • Strong clinical oversight with quality care and regulatory compliance focus.

  • Staffing, scheduling, and workforce management for 24/7 unit operations.

  • Data analytics skills to monitor unit metrics and drive improvements.

  • Interdisciplinary coordination with physicians, therapists, and support teams.

  • Experience in incident reporting, safety culture, and continuous improvement.

  • Contract-specific duties and accountability for unit outcomes in a contract role.

  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and performance feedback capabilities.

  • Ability to operate in a high-measurement, target-driven environment with visibility of activity.
