Position Qualifications
- Current Alabama RN License or Temporary RN License
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Essential Responsibilities
As the RN Unit Manager, you will oversee the daily clinical operations of your assigned unit while ensuring residents receive exceptional, person-centered care.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and support CNAs and nursing staff on your assigned unit.
- Promote a positive team culture focused on quality resident care and excellent customer service.
- Monitor resident conditions, complete nursing assessments, and promptly communicate changes to physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Manage and oversee individualized resident care plans from development through ongoing evaluation.
- Ensure accurate and timely electronic documentation.
- Coordinate pharmacy services, laboratory testing, physician orders, and follow-up care.
- Oversee wound care management and other skilled nursing interventions.
- Assist with quality assurance initiatives, regulatory compliance, and infection prevention efforts.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and education to nursing staff while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
