RN Unit Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee the operations of our nursing unit. The ideal candidate will handle all supervisory duties, ensuring the highest quality of care is provided to our residents while also mentoring fellow staff. Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all staff activities within the nursing unit, fostering a positive work environment.
• Establish and implement employment policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and state regulations.
• Mentor less experienced nurses, providing clinical guidance and career advice to enhance their professional development.
• Maintain and uphold the standards of care for the unit, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough reviews of resident records and monitor the quality of care provided.
• Oversee the overall care of residents, reviewing individual cases to assess and improve care strategies.
• Address any questions or complaints raised by residents or their families in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Represent the unit's interests with upper-level management and advocate for the needs of both staff and residents.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Unit Manager role.
• Must hold a valid RN License.
• Basic computer skills are necessary for documentation and communication.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
