Tice Valley Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a PRN basis.

The RN will provide high-quality, resident-centered nursing care while ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents. This position works closely with CNAs, LVNs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care in a skilled nursing and post-acute setting.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing resident needs, developing and implementing nursing interventions, administering medications and treatments, monitoring changes in condition, and communicating effectively with residents, families, and members of the healthcare team.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Assess residents and monitor changes in condition, promptly reporting concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
• Perform nursing assessments and document resident status and care provided.
• Supervise and provide direction to LVNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team regarding resident care.
• Respond promptly to resident needs, emergencies, and changes in condition.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, rights, and quality of life.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Assist with care planning, resident conferences, and other clinical meetings as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Previous skilled nursing or post-acute experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional approach to resident care.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
