Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour during introductory period (first 90 days)
Pay Increase: $42.00 per hour after successful completion of 90 days

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled, and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Weekend Baylor RN in our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Rehabilitation Center. This full-time nursing position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality resident care, clinical leadership, and nursing supervision while working a consistent weekend schedule.

The Weekend Baylor Registered Nurse is responsible for resident assessments, medication administration, treatment management, care coordination, nursing documentation, clinical decision-making, and supervision of nursing staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong nursing skills, exceptional critical thinking abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding care to residents requiring skilled nursing services, post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, memory support, and behavioral health interventions.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs seeking a rewarding career in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation nursing, geriatric nursing, post-acute care, nursing supervision, and healthcare leadership.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans.
  • Complete comprehensive resident assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions accurately and safely.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in resident condition.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, pharmacy providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other nursing personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation.
  • Participate in admissions, discharges, transfers, and care planning processes.
  • Promote resident dignity, quality of life, and person-centered care.
  • Assist with the management of residents experiencing behavioral health challenges utilizing effective communication and de-escalation techniques.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and leader during weekend operations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Current Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred

  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
  • Long-Term Care (LTC) experience
  • Rehabilitation Nursing experience
  • Charge Nurse or Nursing Supervisor experience
  • Experience working with behavioral health, dementia care, memory care, or post-acute rehabilitation residents
