Registered Nurse (RN) –Wound Care

Location: Harlem, New York
Pay Rate: $80.00–$81.00 per hour
Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts, every other weekend required
Contract Type: Open-Ended Contracts

Position Overview
We are seeking three experienced Wound Care Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide specialized assessment, treatment, consultation, and education services for patients with wounds, pressure injuries, ostomies, fistulas, and continence-related conditions. The RN Wound Care Specialist will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care and positive clinical outcomes.
Requirements Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration through the New York State Department of Education (NYSED).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Current certification in at least one of the following:
  • CWOCN –Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse
  • CWON –Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse
  • CWCN –Certified Wound Care Nurse
  • CWS –Certified Wound Specialist
  • WCC –Wound Care Certified

Experience

• Recent wound care experience required.
• Experience managing pressure injuries, ostomies, continence issues, fistulas, and complex wounds.
• Strong assessment, documentation, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Schedule & Compensation

• $80.00–$81.00 per hour
• 4 x 10-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Open-ended contract assignment
• Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct wound, ostomy, and continence assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and interventions.
• Perform pressure injury risk assessments and implement prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation services, and case management teams.
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and wound care programs.
• Manage specialty wound care equipment, including specialty beds and negative pressure wound therapy devices.
• Promote evidence-based wound care practices and standards of care.
