Job Summary
The Restorative Nursing Aide provides restorative nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing / long-term care facility, focusing on mobility, strength, range of motion, and maintaining the highest level of independence possible.
Responsibilities
• Assist residents with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises • Encourage mobility and independence per care plan • Provide assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care) • Reposition residents and apply pressure-relieving devices • Assist with toileting needs, including catheter bag emptying • Support Therapy Department with active/passive exercises • Maintain accurate documentation and charting • Report changes in condition to licensed nursing staff • Help residents prepare for meals, appointments, and activities • Maintain a positive, calm, and supportive environment
Qualifications
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification • Completed Restorative Aide Training • Current CPR certification • High school diploma or equivalent • 1 year of skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred
