Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a RNFA or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with First Assist credentials in cardiovascular surgery.
- Hands-on expertise in endoscopic vein and radial artery harvesting techniques.
- Proficiency in using Terumo systems for vein and radial artery harvesting procedures.
- Strong understanding of surgical protocols, safety standards, and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt in high-pressure situations.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience floating between different hospital settings, particularly Slidell Memorial Hospital and St. Tammany Hospital.
- Additional certifications such as CNOR or CVOR certification.
- Familiarity with new surgical technologies and up-to-date practices in vascular surgery.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with current, active status.
- Minimum of 2+ years surgical experience, particularly in cardiovascular or vascular procedures.
- Prior experience performing vein and artery harvesting is highly preferred.
Other Requirements:
- On-call availability required; flexibility to work scheduled 12-hour shifts (07:30 - 16:30).
- Must be able to operate Terumo system equipment efficiently.
- Willingness to float to affiliated hospitals as needed.
- Valid licensure, certifications, and willingness to travel and accommodate reimbursements when applicable.
