Join our Road Maintenance Team for the 2026 Winter Season!
We are looking for individuals with a California Class B operators license with a tanker endorsement to assist with road maintenance utilizing a variety of medium and heavy road maintenance equipment! This critical role will assist with minor road repairs, brush clearing, traffic control and other duties as assigned.
PROOF OF VALID CLASS B OPERATORS LICENSE ISSUED BY A STATE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLE IS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION.

Education and Experience Required
Completion of 12th grade or equivalent, and two years of experience in public works or construction and maintenance involving the operation of medium and heavy road maintenance equipment such as graders, loaders, backhoes and 3-axle trucks.
Possession of a valid Class B operators license issued by a State Department of Motor Vehicles with tanker endorsement. If no tanker endorsement, must attain tanker endorsement within first six months of employment.

Sick Leave:
Temporary County employees shall accrue at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for each thirty (30) hours worked. Temporary County employees can accrue a maximum of 80 hours of sick leave which may be carried over from one fiscal year to the next.
Medical Benefits:
Temporary employees whose assignments average 30 hours per week or more are eligible to enroll in County-sponsored medical benefits.
