Job Description:
As a Road Service Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of our fleet, providing critical assistance to drivers, and supporting our commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will be the primary point of contact for handling road emergencies, facilitating repairs, and ensuring our drivers stay on the road with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, answering calls in a timely, professional, and courteous manner, while effectively managing urgent situations
- Coordinate roadside assistance during breakdowns, routing drivers to appropriate repair facilities, and arranging towing for disabled vehicles to minimize disruptions to operations
- Oversee tire repair and replacement needs for both tractors and trailers, ensuring that all equipment is serviced promptly to maintain operational efficiency
- Facilitate accident reporting procedures, ensuring all relevant information is gathered, and coordinate towing and recovery efforts as needed. You will act as a liaison between the driver, law enforcement, safety personnel, and operations teams to ensure effective communication and quick resolution.
- Maintain accurate, real-time updates within the Road Call Module, ensuring clear communication with drivers and internal teams regarding the status of repairs and road calls
- Ensure adherence to company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, always reinforcing a strong culture of safety and compliance
- Provide operational support for all road call-related activities and perform additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- General understanding of vehicle maintenance, tire repair, and towing logistics
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly and decisively to emergencies
- Proficiency with transportation management software (experience with Transman or similar platforms preferred)
- A High School Diploma or a General Education Degree; College Degree preferred
Looking to hire for nights and weekend shifts. 4/10 hour shifts available.
