Roadway Engineer II

Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring for a Roadway Engineer II to join our Minneapolis office, supporting our growing portfolio of major transportation projects!

What Youll Be Doing:

• Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of contract documents for transportation projects meeting client quality requirements -including defining the problem, establishing scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of contract documents for transportation projects meeting client quality requirements -including defining the problem, establishing scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status

• Analyzing design issues and providing detail design that satisfies client's need Analyzing design issues and providing detail design that satisfies client's need

• Delivering products consisting of detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses Delivering products consisting of detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses

• Supporting other discipline activities as necessary Supporting other discipline activities as necessary

• Providing technical guidance to young engineers and CAD Designer/Drafters on project Providing technical guidance to young engineers and CAD Designer/Drafters on project

What Required Qualifications Youll Bring:

• Masters degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) Masters degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)

• 5+ years of related work experience 5+ years of related work experience

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required

• Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with road engineering Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with road engineering

• Experience in developing 3D finite elements models Experience in developing 3D finite elements models

• DOT Road and wall design experience DOT Road and wall design experience
