Job Description
What you will be doing:
Assist with the design of various transportation projects, which may include highways and roadways, bridge designs and rehabilitations, interchanges, rural roads, streets and intersections, urban arterials, pavement management, roundabouts, and more.
Assist with the design and production of DOT, turnpike, county, and municipal transportation projects.
Support the project manager in all aspects of design for transportation projects, including roadway design, bridge design, drainage, and traffic control.
Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to production staff.
Prepare and assist with project proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
Attend client meetings to ensure the design meets client needs and objectives.
Experience you will need:
B.S. in Civil Engineering.
1–5+ years of experience in DOT, municipal, and county-related transportation projects.
Prior experience in roadway and/or bridge design.
Experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation products (OpenRoads, InRoads, or Geopak) is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
PE license in Oklahoma is preferred (or the ability to obtain the license in a timely manner).
Knowledge of local standards and requirements is preferred.
