Job Description:
OverviewWe are seeking experienced Robot Programmers to support operations for our client. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting FANUC industrial robots in an automotive manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining robot performance, diagnosing electrical and automation issues, supporting production operations, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Candidates must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision once assigned to the project.
Key Responsibilities- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize FANUC robotic systems.
- Perform robot touch-ups, modifications, and production support activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical, control, and automation systems.
- Build, calibrate, maintain, and repair electrical and testing equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
- Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate system performance.
- Support quality inspections and process improvements.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, maintenance personnel, and production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Install and maintain electrical control systems and automation equipment.
- Document testing results, repairs, and corrective actions.
- Provide technical support during equipment startup, commissioning, and production operations.
Required Qualifications- Proven experience programming and troubleshooting FANUC robots.
- Experience with electrical systems, controls, and automation equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of electrical maintenance, calibration, and repair practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering documentation.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or highly automated production environments.
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting automotive assembly operations.
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled automation systems.
- Familiarity with quality control and validation testing.
- Experience with robotic welding, material handling, or assembly applications.
- Previous experience working at OEMs or automotive suppliers.
