The Robotics and Automation Technician I will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on automated manufacturing equipment including robotics, automated systems, material handling equipment, involving hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyance, sensor driven machinery and programmable logic controllers and interfaces. The job work functions require preventative and reactive maintenance for robotic and automated systems and equipment including but not limited to; repair, replacement, adjustment, lubrication, and programming.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance on systems including but not limited to maintaining the operation, adjustments, repairs, changeovers, lubrication, and replacement of components pertaining to sensitive, robotic and automated equipment, conveyors and assembly and test equipment
Proficient use of hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments for general repairs and maintenance of robotic and automated equipment, conveyors and assembly and test equipment
Follow procedures and direction from senior technicians, engineers and subject matter experts tom complete prescribed work on equipment.
Complete work under supervision of an assignment in a timely manner
Ensure equipment maintains a priority on safety
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Open, close and edit work orders in the CMMS system, ensuring a high level of detail, time accounting and spare parts used or consumed are documented
Verify that preventative maintenance procedures are carried out effectively, safe and ready for operation
Competencies:
Demonstrated familiarity with startup and shutdown of automated equipment through general navigation of Human-Machine-Interfaces (HMI). Capable to follow on-screen tools to diagnose and recover from prescribed faults. Allen-Bradley PLC preferred
Foundation-level experience with articulated robots. Demonstrated ability to move robots using teach pendant. Fanuc preferred.
Demonstrated experience with Lock-out/Tag-out and safety protocols in a highly automated and electrical system environment
Demonstrated attention to detail for work orders and time management
Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings for pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
Foundation -level experience with understanding sensors, vision systems, scanners, digital I/O modules- ability to replace and setup sensors. Cognex, Keyence, Banner, iFm preferred.
Experience with conveyance systems-index, roller, belted and index table style material handling equipment

Must have the ability to work in a team environment
Operate within existing safety guidelines
Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
Prolonged periods standing and walking.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends.
Must be able to lift to a maximum of 50 lbs.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates degree, 2-year technical school, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience required in an automated manufacturing environment.
