The Archives Services Associate researches, organizes, and archives semiconductor information, intellectual property, technical documentation and compiles results into cataloged cross-indexed format. Gathers information from a variety of internal and external sources, may include conversion of information into a storage friendly format, ensures correct cataloguing and secure storage of the information. The role includes routinely retrieving information/documents, performing data recovery, translation, and cataloging in database. Sources of information will vary in media types and location. Streamlines information collection methods. Automates where possible. Uses standardized research approach to create portfolio of product-related information. Converts vintage media into long-term storage file formats. Documents and catalogs high volumes of digital file, paper documents, and hardware. Interacts directly with archive customers. Researches internal and external information sources, furnishes the requested information/media, and maintains check-out/check-in tracking of all materials. Provides a great customer interaction experience at all times -- in person, on the phone, and through email or skype. Trainable in software used to read/troubleshoot media (Unix, VMS, Linux, DOS, Windows work stations and operating systems) as well as archives database and Excel. |
