Description



The Rolling Lead will ensure their line is working efficiently and relays any potential issues to the Rolling Supervisor. Their vigilant eye prevents damage to goods during the manufacturing process. In addition to a keen eye, Rolling Leads need physical stamina to avoid accidents. 


Essential Job Duties
  • Daily Assignment and movement of personnel in Rolling area to effectively use production requirements
  • Maintain effective communication with Packing, QA, Rolling Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor
  • Coordinates wrapper and filling requirements for assigned lines with Prep Supervisor
  • Monitor production quality (i.e. weight, shape, water control, etc.)
  • Direct and train personnel on safety procedures involving specific job duties.
  • Responsible for pre and post-production sanitation of rolling area
  • Communicate company policy and procedures
  • Ensure all crew members follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Report any food safety and quality problem to Supervisor or Operations Manager to initiate action.
  • In the absence of Rolling Lead, Rolling Supervisor will cover his/her responsibilities. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


Competencies & Skill Requirements
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Work in a team environment
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; one to two years’ experience
  • Experience with Food and Beverage industry preferred

Sanitation
  • Sweep floor, wash the trays, tables, wash carts, short simple conveyor, squeegee the water off the floor, throw out garbage, wash rolling machines. 

Work Environment
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend for virtually entire shift. 
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
