We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Roofing Superintendent to join our growing team. This role is a unique opportunity to spearhead exciting roofing projects while working with a team of skilled professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all roofing operations, from the initial planning stages to the final execution, ensuring the highest quality of work is delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of both commercial and residential roofing, in-depth knowledge of construction safety protocols, and the ability to manage subcontractors effectively.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the roofing construction process, from initial planning to project completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and within the specified time frame.
  • Handle the procurement and management of construction materials, ensuring the right materials are available when needed.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of job packets, ensuring all necessary information is included and easily accessible.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures, ensuring all work adheres to the highest standards.
  • Manage contracts, ensuring all agreements are upheld and any disputes are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Lead and inspire a team of construction professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections, identifying any potential issues and implementing solutions as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with all team members, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring all parties are kept up-to-date with project progress.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in a roofing superintendent or similar role.
  • Proficient in managing subcontractors and overseeing large-scale construction projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial and residential roofing construction.
  • Proven experience in ordering and managing construction materials.
  • Solid understanding of construction safety protocols and quality control measures.
  • Excellent team leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Proven experience in contract management and job scheduling.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong inspection skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify potential issues.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing job packets.
  • Must have a strong understanding of materials management in the construction industry.
