    Seeking Room Attendant for Hilton Garden Inn hotel

    Candidate must be able to pass a drug and background screen.

    Candidate must be able to work Sun-Sat, including weekends.

    Shifts are typically 5-7 hour duration: 9am-2:30pm 10am-3pm

    Position is Sick leave and holiday premium eligible

    Job Summary: The hotel Room Attendant is an hourly position reporting directly to the Executive Housekeeper and/or Lead Room Attendant. The Room Attendant is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel guest rooms.  

    Essential Functions:  

    Housekeeping Operations:

    1. Greets guests with friendly and professional manner
    2. Maintains brand and company standard for cleanliness in hotel guest areas
    3. Stocks housekeeping carts with supplies
    4. Strip and removes linens, used amenities and trash from guest rooms
    5. Cleans guest rooms, as assigned, which includes: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, washing windows / tracks and replenishing linens and amenities
    6. Reports rooms as clean and available
    7. Reports maintenance deficiencies to maintain compliance with brand standards
    8. Demonstrates working knowledge of the service standards 
    9. Delivers special request items such as cribs, roll-a-ways, extra linen, etc. to guestrooms
    10. Rotates linens and stocks linens in storerooms
    11. Maintains housekeeping cart organization
    12. Replenishes storeroom supplies
    13. Removes trash and dirty linens from housekeeping carts
    14. Other duties as assigned 

    Safety and Security: 

    1. Complies with safety protocols such as glove use and cart placement while performing cleaning
    2. Recognizes, reports, and corrects conditions which may create security and safety hazards
    3. Understands and adheres to policies and procedures for the hotel’s key control system
    4. Participates in on-going safety training 

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    1. Ability to multi-task and be organized
    2. Good time management skills
    3. Ability to exercise good judgment
    4. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively 
    5. Ability to schedule, prioritize, and perform work
    6. Ability to complete Brand required training within Brand specified timeframe
    7. Ability to obtain CPR Certification           

    Education and Experience: 

    1. High school diploma/GED, preferred
    2. Prior hospitality housekeeping experience preferred

    Physical and Environmental Conditions:

    1. Ability to push/pull up to 200lb housekeeping cart
    2. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as: vacuum cleaners, brooms, spray bottles, etc.
    3. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and be able to bend at the waist and stretch above the head
    4. This position works with and around several different chemicals during the course of the day
    5. This position works with and around blood borne pathogens

     Due to the nature of the position, you can expect to walk around the hotel and standup the majority of the time. Work environment involves risks or discomforts which require safety precautions. Use of safe work place practices is required.
