Core Responsibilities
- Room Maintenance: Change bed linens, make beds, and replace used towels.
- Sanitization: Vacuum carpets, sweep/mop floors, dust furniture, and thoroughly clean and disinfect bathrooms.
- Stocking: Replenish bath amenities (soap, shampoo), minibar items, and in-room coffee/tea supplies.
- Customer Service: Address basic guest queries, provide extra towels, and assist with lost items in a professional, welcoming manner.
- Reporting: Identify and report maintenance issues (e.g., broken lights, leaky faucets) and turn over Lost and Found items to management.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and lift or push heavy objects like linen carts for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for spotting stains, dust, or missing items to meet high hospitality standards.
- Time Management: Ability to clean assigned rooms thoroughly within a structured shift timeline
Daily Cleaning & Room Turnovers
- Bed Making: Stripping used beds, changing all linens, and making the beds to precise hotel standards.
- Bathroom Sanitation: Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, showers, tubs, mirrors, and sinks.
- General Tidying: Dusting furniture, polishing fixtures, wiping down high-touch surfaces, and opening curtains.
- Floor Care: Vacuuming carpets and sweeping or mopping hard floors.
Restocking Supplies & Room Setup
- Bathroom Amenities: Replenishing soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and fresh towels.
- Room Amenities: Restocking coffee/tea supplies, water bottles, and stationery.
- Minibar: Checking, restocking, and logging food and beverage items.
- Waste Disposal: Emptying all trash cans, recycling bins, and replacing the liners
- Equipment Checks: Ensuring appliances (lamps, TVs, AC/heating units, alarms) are working properly.
- Reporting Issues: Noting and immediately reporting maintenance requests (e.g., leaky faucets, broken lights, damaged furniture) to management.
- Safety & Security: Reporting any suspicious activity, locking doors behind you, and adhering to strict key-control policies
Guest Services & Communication
- Guest Interactions: Greeting guests warmly, answering questions about the hotel, and fulfilling requests (e.g., extra pillows, an ironing board).
- Lost & Found: Collecting and properly tagging any forgotten guest belongings and turning them into management.
- Room Status: Updating the floor supervisor on which rooms are cleaned, vacant, or still occupied.
