Room Attendant - NorthStar Resort - Truckee, CA

Key Responsibilities:
· Clean and prepare rooms and suites, including kitchens, living areas, and bathrooms, according to the resort’s standards.
· Perform general housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, replenishing towels, and restocking amenities.
· Ensure all kitchen appliances, utensils, and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained.
· Inspect rooms for any maintenance needs, such as broken appliances, fixtures, or furniture, and report issues to the maintenance team promptly.
· Ensure all guest supplies, including toiletries, kitchen supplies, and linens, are fully stocked and fresh.
· Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including hallways, staircases, and corridors, as assigned.
· Follow the resort’s policies and procedures regarding the use of cleaning products and equipment.
· Communicate effectively with the housekeeping and front desk teams to address guest needs or special requests.
· Maintain the highest level of professionalism and hospitality when interacting with guests.
· Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
· Assist with other housekeeping duties or special guest requests as needed.
Qualifications:
· Prior experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably in a resort or hotel setting.
· Ability to handle and clean multiple rooms, including full kitchens and living spaces.
· Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Physical stamina to perform lifting, bending, and moving heavy objects (e.g., bedding, furniture).
· Strong communication skills and a guest-focused attitude.
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
· Long periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
· Must be comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, such as cold temperatures in the ski resort setting.
