Duties include but not limited to:

  • Removing and replacing soiled linen,
  • making beds,
  • dusting,
  • vacuuming,
  • cleaning bathrooms,
  • restocking supplies,
  • cleaning patios and balconies
  • reporting damaged or broken items.
  • Arranging room to required standards.
  • Responsible for turning items left by departed guests into Lost and Found.
  • Assisting in vacuuming and dusting hall corridors.
  • Keeping carts and closets clean and stocked.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • No formal education required
  • 2 years of hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate or understand directions in the English language.
  • Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Must have strong guest service skills.
  • Must be able to report to housekeeping department and assigned work area promptly on scheduled shift.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel and walk.
  • Must be able to push housekeeping carts, which are up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
  • Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Must be able to use cleaning equipment and supplies.
