Job Summary:

The Room Reservations Coordinator serves as the primary contact for group reservations, University reservations, Travel Advisor requests and all personalized reservation needs for The Hotel at Auburn University and The Laurel Hotel & Spa. This role strives to deliver world-class service, maximize revenues and support the company's goals and values.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inputs, updates, cancels, and edits room reservations and builds group room blocks.
  • Processes all incoming reservations received via group rooming lists
  • Communicate and work closely with Meeting Planners, Catering/Conference Services and Sales Managers throughout the group's program to ensure success.
  • Serves as the primary reservations contact for Auburn University and other key accounts
  • Actively support Reservations Call Center when applicable by processing reservations requests via telephone
  • Consistently meet Department Standards. Accurately complete all details.
  • Utilizes yield management to analyze and optimize room inventory for increased occupancy and average rate
  • Monitors hotel revenue activity and responds promptly to communication.
  • Builds guest profiles based on unique preferences.
  • Supports the forecasting process and other administrative duties as assigned
  • Adheres to hotel policies, reports violations, and maintains good working relationships.

  • Thorough knowledge of the hotel's amenities, room types, rates, and policies to provide accurate information to guests.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • At least one year of experience in a hotel or similar setting is preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
