Job Summary:

The Room Service Sales Agent is responsible for accurately and efficiently taking room service orders, upselling menu items, and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction by delivering a professional and courteous experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Answer all incoming room service calls promptly and professionally, adhering to established service standards.
• Accurately take guest food and beverage orders, confirming all details and special requests.
• Possess a thorough knowledge of the room service menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
• Actively upsell and suggestive sell menu items, beverages, and desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
• Process orders through the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and delivery staff to ensure timely and correct order fulfillment.
• Resolve guest complaints or concerns regarding room service orders in a professional and timely manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and hygiene.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service, sales, or hospitality role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sales and upselling abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems; experience with hotel management systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods.
