Position Summary Acuren Inspection is now hiring hard working, dependable Painter to work on a project basis to start as soon as possible. The Technician is responsible for carrying out duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner as assigned by the Supervisor.
Responsibilities KEY TASKS & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Have a comprehensive knowledge of Painting/Blasting • Assist other technicians as required • Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders • Ensure operational safety of all equipment • Other work duties as assigned
Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: • SPRAT/IRATA certification • Must be willing to obtain SPRAT/IRATA Certification • Knowledge of coating materials, application techniques, and curing processes • Experience with paint and industrial equipment • Experience using a wet paint gun, hand and power tools, and other painting equipment • The ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings • The ability to read and use coating thickness gages, surface profile gages, dew point meters, soluble salt testers, and hardness or ultrasonic thickness gages
EDUCATION: • Previous pipeline experience preferred • NCCER Painter certification a plus • NACE certification a plus
