Department Overview
PG&E's Engineering, Planning, and Strategy (EP&S) organization is focused on engineering the grid of the future through an integrated approach leveraging renewable energy sources, traditional utility infrastructure, and cutting-edge technology to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable energy to our customers. The Electric Engineering department within EP&S is responsible for designing all aspects of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission grid, including system planning, engineering, resiliency solutions, and asset strategy.
Position Summary
The Engineering Rotation Development Program is a 12-month rotation program that provides engineers an opportunity to gain meaningful engineering experience in up to two departments within Electric Engineering focused on improving PG&E's large network of electric transmission and distribution facilities. The rotation assignments will occur within one or multiple locations as defined with business needs. Some of the available department rotations include:
PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. The hourly rate for a bachelor's degree is $49.51 and for a master's degree is $54.32.
Responsibilities
With six months in each rotation, participants will have enough time to learn about the rotational department and contribute to the department's success. Engineers can expect to work within PG&E's service territory with rotation opportunities within the departments specified above.
