Job Description
Rough Carpenter The Carpenter will use carpentry skills to build, erect, install, and repair various structures, other equipment, and fixtures throughout the facility and in production.
- Pay: $20-22/hour, based on experience
Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation
- Conducting repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required
- Joining drywall panels using tape and plaster
- Repairing cracks and any other damage to the drywall panels
Carpenter-Framer Qualifications:- Education: High School Diploma or related field preferred.
- Experience: Three years’ carpentry experience in the building trades field is required, previous experience working with diverse populations preferred.
- Other Requirements: Strong stakeholder service skills. Exceptional dedication to dependability and punctuality. Strong work ethic. Ability to engage a team toward a common mission. Additional abilities required:
- Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
- Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
- Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
- Ability to read, write and use micrometers, calipers, tape measures and other related measurement equipment required.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
- Works well as part of a team.
