Job Title: Delivery Driver


Location: Los Angeles, CA 90023


Job Type: Full-Time + OT as Needed


Reports To: Logistics Manager


Job Overview


We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing up to 20-30 deliveries per shift using a bobtail truck, ensuring orders are delivered accurately and on time. This role requires flexibility, punctuality, and the ability to start shifts as early as 5:00 AM. Shift start times range from 5 AM to 9 AM.  


Key Responsibilities


  • Timely Deliveries: Ensure all deliveries are completed on schedule, adhering to assigned routes and delivery windows.
  • Route Flexibility: Be available to drive routes to various locations, including San Diego, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Bakersfield, and local neighborhoods.
  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a bobtail truck, performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent service by communicating professionally with customers and handling their deliveries with care.
  • Order Accuracy: Verify orders upon loading and unloading to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages or errors.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure safe delivery practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, receipts, and any notes regarding customer interactions or delivery conditions.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading products onto the truck, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
  • Problem-Solving: Address delivery challenges, such as traffic delays or incorrect addresses, and communicate effectively with dispatch for resolution.
Qualifications and Skills


  • Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver, especially with bobtail trucks, is preferred.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and move items as heavy as 60 lbs throughout the day.
  • Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and stay on schedule.
  • Geographic Knowledge: Familiarity with routes to locations like San Diego, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, and Bakersfield is a plus.
  • Customer Service: Friendly and professional attitude when interacting with customers.
  • Dependability: Consistent availability to start routes as early as 5:00 AM and accommodate extended driving distances and overtime during our busiest times.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable using GPS devices, route planning software, pallet jacks, dollys, and other material handling equipment.
