Route Driver CDL

Pay Rate: $24 per hour - $28 per hour

Summary:

• Location: Shelbyville, KY
• Perm Position
• Days: Monday thru Friday (occasional weekends if needed)
• Hours: Start time is between 4pm and 9pm (depending on the route), 10-hour days

Responsibilities:

• Operate company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities.
• Load and unload laundry carts.
• Establish professional relationships with customers and provide quality customer service.
• Represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance while at customer locations.
• Ensure the safe operation of company vehicles, including pre and post-route inspections.
• Maintain DOT compliance and follow hours of service rules.
• Follow standard vehicle operating procedures.
• Meet established route schedules.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in line with company policies.
• Deliver products to customers in a timely manner.
• Properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork.
• Perform a daily visual inspection of the equipment.
• Cross-train on other routes per department needs.
• Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid Class driver's license.
• Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations.
• Must have a clean driving record per company policy.
• One year of experience.
• Available to drive nights and weekends.
• Ability to speak and read the English language.
• Ability to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day.
• Ability to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels).
• Ability to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to use repetitive arm motions.
