The Route Sales is responsible for servicing assigned retail accounts, maintaining inventory levels, supporting customer needs, and developing new business opportunities along an established route. This position combines customer service, inventory management, and sales responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Maintains a regular schedule of visitation and stocking to retail sites on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Restocks battery racks, adjusts stock levels, and rotates product as necessary.
Picks up scrap and warranty product from customer locations.
Maintains consignments and ensures accurate tracking, reconciliation, and replenishment.
Handles day-to-day account management for assigned route customers.
Receives ongoing coaching and training to manage and grow current book of business.
Maintains and expands knowledge of company products and industry offerings.
Communicates with customers regarding additional products and promotions.
Explains product features and benefits and recommends solutions based on customer needs.
Answers product questions and provides knowledgeable recommendations.
Develops new accounts through cold-calling, referrals, and relationship building.
Maintains route lists and follows up with customers to sustain and grow business relationships.
Collects customer payments when required.
Properly maintains and accounts for inventory.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Able to both give and take directions.
Detail-oriented.
Solid communication skills, and personable.
Customer service-oriented
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Basic computer proficiency.
Clean and current Driver's license (MVR check) in the applying State.
Able to operate a GPS/Map application.
Familiar with batteries and their composition, helpful.
Experience:
1+ Year of experience involving delivery or sales
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching (including overhead and below shoulder level), pushing, and pulling.
Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload merchandise and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Manual dexterity to perform gross and fine manipulation, including handling products, picking, pinching, and keyboarding.
Ability to operate a vehicle and drive for extended periods.
Adequate near visual acuity, hearing, and speaking ability to perform job duties and communicate effectively.
Pay rate: $24.00/hr + Commission
