Route Technician - Sign Manufacturing

Trademark Visual is a leading design/build producer of architectural, commercial and electric signs. Our manufacturing facility is fully equipped to fabricate nearly any sign imaginable, from small apartment unit numbers to 85’ tall freeway pylon signs. Additionally, we employ a full complement of wide format digital printing equipment including UV and latex printers. Our Field Services team is well equipped to service and install any sign we make.

We’re seeking a qualified individual to join our team as ROUTE/ LASER TECHNICIAN.

The environment for this position is primarily in the route area but will involve some flexibility to work in other departments if needed. Candidate must be able to work independently and take action as required by the duties and responsibilities given to them.

Under general direction from the Shop Manager, this is a physically demanding position requiring hands-on abilities and use of tools and equipment to complete the required assignments. The best matched candidate would have 1-2 years of routing experience.

IDEAL KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES:

·       Experience routing and/or lasering all types and sizes of materials.

·       Versatile with various route and/or laser techniques.

·       Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

·       Team oriented in a fast-paced environment.

·       Dependable, self-motivated and organized.

·       Ability to maintain a clean working environment.

·       Ability to read, understand and follow work order instructions in English.

·       Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with proficiency in English.

·       The knowledge, skills and abilities required to fulfill the following duties:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

·       Machine setup & material handling - load material and select the correct digital cut files.

·       Run CNC routers and laser cutters to cut and engrave various types of materials.

·       Communicate any issues that require troubleshooting to Team Lead.

·       Review quality of work being produced.

·       Ability to manipulate files and understand filing system.

·       Meet deadlines according to schedule.

·       Properly prepare all necessary paperwork and job logs.

·       Complete maintenance checks of machinery utilized. Keep the area clean.

·       If there is material left over after routing is complete, alert team members appropriately so it can be accounted for stock and placed in stock.

·       Maintain OSHA standards and ensure air quality.

·       Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.

·       Continuously strive to identify new areas of improvement.

·       Demonstrate an attitude of “Can Do” and a positive work ethic.

·       Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·       HS Diploma or GED

·       Some knowledge of graphics and machining software

·       Knowledge of OSHA requirements (helpful, not required)
