Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manufacturing machines according to specification sheets and quality documentation.
  • Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production runs.
  • Identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and make machine adjustments to maintain operating specifications.
  • Perform machine changeovers, including creeling, leasing, and doffing.
  • Accurately record production activity, including production quantities, waste, and production tickets.
  • Follow inspection procedures, quality checks, and documentation processes to ensure product quality.
  • Notify supervisors immediately of machine malfunctions or excessive quality issues.
  • Assist maintenance technicians with repairs and support rapid return to production.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct routine inspections of work areas and report unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and corrective actions.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures as required after successful completion of training.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • May participate in Emergency Response Teams and maintain required certifications.
  • Work overtime, alternate shifts, weekends, and other assignments as business needs require.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Assist coworkers when needed and seek help appropriately to maintain production goals.
  • Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and maintain certification through company-provided training.
  • Support production activities involving material handling and machine operation.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and follow specification sheets, production reports, and work instructions.
  • Ability to read tape measures, gauges, and take accurate measurements.
  • Basic math and data entry skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to identify quality defects and make appropriate process adjustments.
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, and work in elevated or confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in awkward positions during machine setup and maintenance activities.
  • Fine finger dexterity and coordination for handling fiberglass and other man-made yarns.
  • Ability to hear alarms, warnings, and moving equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately document production and quality information.
  • Ability to lead, influence, and support coworkers when necessary.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new skills and processes.
  • Professional conduct and positive interaction with team members.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment according to product specifications.
  • Make quality and productivity decisions during production.
  • Stop production lines when quality or safety concerns arise.
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain operating standards.

  • Operate forklifts with current certification.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures after successful training and authorization.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, machine operator, maintenance, or industrial environment.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to become certified in First Aid/CPR and serve as a designated first responder when needed.
Pay: $20.61 per hrShift: 2nd shift, M-F, 3pm-11pmMust be able to train on 1st or 3rd shift.1st shift – M-F, 6am-4pm3rd shift – M-F (Sunday night), 8pm-6am#IND2
