RPA(UiPath) Solution Architect - Greenwood Village, Colorado (ONSITE)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled UiPath Solution Architect / Senior Automation Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade automation solutions. This role requires an expert-level blend of hands-on UiPath development and robust solution architecture design to deliver scalable, secure, and highly maintainable automations.

As a hands-on technical leader, you will contribute directly to development while driving engineering excellence, establishing best practices, mentoring development teams, and collaborating with business stakeholders to transform business requirements into optimized technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

• Architectural Strategy: Analyze complex business requirements to design scalable, reusable, and maintainable enterprise-scale UiPath automation solutions.
• Standards & Governance: Define solution architecture, technical approaches, and development standards aligned with enterprise security and compliance frameworks.
• Framework Engineering: Design and build reusable frameworks, common components, and libraries to accelerate overall development efficiency.
• Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate technical challenges, perform proof-of-concepts, and recommend optimal automation approaches for complex workflows.

Hands-on Development & Integration

• Enterprise Development: Build complex, end-to-end automation workflows using UiPath Studio.
• System Integration: Seamlessly integrate UiPath solutions with REST/SOAP APIs, databases, web services, and legacy enterprise applications.
• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot deep-level production issues, optimize automation performance, and ensure runtime reliability and resiliency.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

• Team Mentorship: Provide technical direction and hands-on guidance to onshore and offshore UiPath developers.
• Quality Gates: Conduct formal design reviews and code reviews to enforce strict adherence to enterprise design patterns and coding standards.
• Problem Resolution: Act as an escalation point to assist developers in resolving complex implementation bottlenecks.

Stakeholder & Delivery Management

• Collaboration: Partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to Client, assess, and prioritize automation opportunities.
• Lifecycle Delivery: Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from initial design through testing, deployment, and hypercare support.
• Documentation: Author and maintain comprehensive technical artifacts, including Solution Design Documents (SDDs), Technical Design Documents (TDDs), and operational playbooks.
• Innovation: Continuously evaluate emerging UiPath features (e.g., Agentic Automation, AI capabilities) and recommend strategic adoption.

Technical Skills & Tooling

Core Automation & RPA

• UiPath Suite: Studio, Orchestrator, REFramework (Robotic Enterprise Framework)
• Advanced UiPath Capabilities: Document Understanding, Integration Services, Agentic Automation

Programming & Integration

• Languages: Strong proficiency in SQL and .NET / VB.NET
• APIs & Data: REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, Database Integration (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
• AI & Cognitive Technologies (Preferred): Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI integration, OCR engines, Machine Learning (ML) models

Infrastructure & DevOps (Preferred)

• Cloud Environments: Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control (Git, TFVC), and automated deployment practices

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 8+ years of overall IT industry experience.
  • At least 6+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in UiPath development and architecture.
• Technical Depth: Demonstrated success in designing and deploying enterprise-scale UiPath automations utilizing REFramework, queue-based processing, transaction management, and advanced exception-handling strategies.
• Governance: Proven experience performing technical design reviews, code quality audits, and managing structured deployments.
• Delivery Model: Excellent track record working within Agile frameworks, coordinating deliverables across hybrid onshore and offshore team models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: UiPath Advanced Developer (UARD) or UiPath Certified Professional Solution Architect (UIPath-SA).
• AI-Driven Automation: Practical experience leveraging AI to improve document processing, automated decision-making, chatbot integrations, or complex workflow steps.
• Multi-Platform Exposure: Familiarity with alternative RPA platforms (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Microsoft Power Automate) to assist in cross-platform assessment or migrations.
