Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Perform aircraft interior removal, installation, and fabrication, including:

  • Galleys

  • Closets

  • Lavatories

  • Bulkheads

  • Doors & panels

  • Trim, carpeting, cabinetry, and soundproofing

• Ensure all work meets FAA, repair station, company, and quality requirements.

• Mentor and train Interior Installation Technicians, reviewing work for quality compliance.

• Lead projects and coordinate materials, documentation, and task execution as needed.

• Utilize material tracking systems to manage parts, squawks, and work sign-offs.

• Use hand and power tools including band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes.

• Remove and reinstall nut plates, inserts, fasteners, hardware, and fittings.

• Support Lean/continuous improvement initiatives, safety, 5S, and housekeeping standards.

• Assist with aircraft maintenance activities and adapt to changing schedules and priorities.

• Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight test activities as required.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 4+ years of aircraft interior installation, fabrication, or related experience.

• Aerospace industry experience preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

• Experience using hand tools and power tools related to aircraft interiors installation/removal.

• Advanced knowledge of aircraft interior installation and fabrication processes, including:

  • Galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels

  • Composite materials such as Nomex honeycomb, fiberglass, Lexan, and acrylic

• Must be computer literate.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
