The MNMR currently houses eight high-field spectrometers and provides critical technical support to over 30 research groups across the University. Additionally, MNMR staff support the operation of six additional NMR spectrometers in two other departments housed in four buildings across campus. This role is essential for maintaining facility uptime, training a diverse user base, and supporting satellite operations throughout the Twin Cities campus.

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for both solid-state and solution NMR instruments, acquiring and interpreting multidimensional spectra for internal and external users, and providing technical training and guidance to a diverse user base across 13 departments. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Chemistry or Biochemistry with a strong technical background in NMR spectroscopy and a proactive approach to facility management.
