BWXT's technology is driving advances in medical radioisotope production in North America and microreactors for various defense and space applications.Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Identifies and implements product and process improvements.Processes necessary change requests/SER revisions/etc. to support area operations.Authors and tracks customer submittals to avoid production delays.Reviews and improves upon area operating instructions (OPs, PPOs, SMTs).Maintains familiarity with customer specifications to understand and address nonconformances.Responds with urgency to area operations and QC concerns.Generates RWPs on an as-needed basis.Identifies vulnerabilities and plans to address existing shop equipment.Troubleshoots equipment with urgency, using individual experience and/or reaches out for vendor support.Participates in customer calls and visits as it pertains to cognizant products and/or equipment.Communicates to Project Team progress on active projects as needed.Obtains quotes and generates purchase requisitions on an as-needed basis.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus two (2) years of experience.Must be familiar with RTR Lower Tier shop operations.Must be highly self‑motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment.Ability to work in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.Pay:Base salary range: $62,000 – $109,000 per year. Additional compensation may include an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits. Details will be provided upon offer.
