HVAC Service Technician – Residential And Light Commercial (Shreveport/Natchitoches)



Aire Serv of Shreveport/Natchitoches is hiring an HVAC Service Technician for mostly residential straight cool systems with some light commercial work. What you will do

• Run residential and light commercial service calls, primarily straight cool systems, with some heat pumps and gas equipment if that fits your mix.
• Diagnose comfort, air quality, mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues and present clear options to customers.
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and start ups according to company standards and local codes.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and pricing clearly and professionally.
• Use company software and basic forms to document work, notes, photos, and recommendations.
• Collect payment or payment information on site when work is completed.
• Recommend maintenance plans, IAQ, accessories, and replacement when appropriate and in the customer’s best interest.
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and professional appearance.
  
  

What it takes

• Strong residential HVAC service experience, for example two or more years running calls independently.
• Solid diagnostic skills with straight cool systems; light commercial experience is a plus.
• EPA certification required; additional certifications such as NATE are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to work in attics, outdoors, crawlspaces, and other field conditions common in HVAC service.
• Able to lift 60 pounds and handle physically demanding work.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to talk with homeowners and small business owners comfortably.
• Positive, can do attitude and pride in doing the job right the first time.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
