What You'll Do
As a Rustproof Technician / New Car Prep Specialist, you'll play a key role in preparing vehicles for the showroom and delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Rustproofing and undercoating vehicles as assigned
- Safely lifting vehicles and applying undercoating with thorough, precise coverage
- Applying rustproofing chemicals to doors, panels, engine compartments, truck beds, and other designated areas
- Wearing appropriate protective gear (provided), including protective suit, gloves, goggles, and respirator
- Transporting vehicles carefully to prevent interior contamination
- Cleaning overspray and ensuring a flawless finish
- Washing and detailing vehicles to showroom-quality standards
- Inspecting vehicles for damage and verifying listed accessories
- Documenting any damage or missing items
- Parking completed vehicles in assigned areas
- Assisting technicians and valets as needed
- Occasionally retrieving or delivering vehicles to other dealerships
- Maintaining a clean and organized detail shop
- Supporting winter operations, including snow and ice removal and clearing vehicles
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Good judgment and safety awareness
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Team-oriented mindset
Physical Requirements
- Standing, bending, stooping, and walking for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to work in a wet environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
