The Residential Wireman installs all electrical work involved in solar electric and battery storage systems. The RW leads 3 apprentices to the highest levels of safety and quality as the head of their team, ensuring conformance with the system plans and specifications.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a current Colorado State RW license in good standing.
Strong knowledge of current NEC code.
Previous solar installation experience on roof and ground-mounted PV systems preferred.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Experience dealing with adversity in a calm, professional and solutions-oriented manner.
Safety certifications (minimum of OSHA 10/30)/NFPA 70e preferred.
Experience with EMT conduit bending, route planning and teaching others electrical skills.
Must maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Primary Tasks
Lead the construction of projects according to the design drawings, applicable NEC codes and company policies with an emphasis on safety, quality and clean aesthetics.
Be an inspiration to your team members, encouraging them to consistently exceed safety and quality goals; lead by example.
Check in with the Project Manager, AM and PM, about project status and next steps. Upload daily progress pictures. Discuss deviations from the plans with the designer prior to implementation of changes. Redline drawing sets with approved changes.
Be responsible for maintaining established QA/QC standards.
Communicate with stakeholders professionally and respectfully.
Test and commission power and control systems including Tesla, Franklin, Enphase, Solaredge, SPAN
Be responsible for completion, delegation and delivery of required data & documentation for utility interconnection, and AHJ inspections.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary range - $30-$40/hour, based on experience
90-day review with Annual Performance Evaluation
