Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Supply Chain, the S&OP Manager is responsible for leading and continuously improving the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for ofi’s Onion & Garlic business. This role drives end-to-end supply and demand alignment, ensuring integration across commercial strategy, crop planning, production capacity, inventory management, and financial objectives over a 12–36 month horizon.
The S&OP Manager serves as a key business partner to senior leadership, providing strategic insights, facilitating executive decision-making, and ensuring disciplined execution of the S&OP process. This role requires a strong ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and translate complex data into actionable business strategies.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in S&OP leadership, integrated business planning, scenario modeling, and supply chain optimization, preferably within agricultural, seasonal, or food manufacturing environments.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure alignment across commercial, procurement, operations, and finance.
- Lead the monthly supply planning cycle and translate demand plans into executable supply strategies.
- Develop scenario-based supply plans to support business decisions.
- Evaluate trade-offs between service levels, inventory, crop utilization, and capacity.
- Identify risks and opportunities related to supply and demand, including crop variability, capacity constraints, and inventory aging.
- Develop mitigation plans to address supply-demand gaps.
- Monitor forecast vs supply plan alignment and improve planning accuracy.
- Define inventory targets by location and product form.
- Optimize inventory positioning across the network to balance service levels and working capital.
- Develop safety stock strategies and reduce slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Perform scenario modeling related to crop yield, capacity constraints, and inventory utilization.
- Develop supply planning analytics, reports, and dashboards.
- Analyze capacity utilization and supply gaps across plants.
- Improve planning data quality and reporting accuracy.
- Utilize planning systems including SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP (preferred), Excel, and Power BI / Tableau.
- Work cross-functionally with procurement, commercial, operations, quality, and finance to ensure alignment of supply plans.
- Provide supply planning recommendations to senior leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field required.
- Five (5) years of supply planning experience required, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Candidates substituting experience in lieu of degree must have ten (10) years of relevant planning experience.
- Experience with long-term supply planning required.
- Experience in agricultural or seasonal supply chains strongly preferred.
- Experience with SAP or advanced planning systems required.
- Strong leadership, influence, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment at all levels for the organization.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience with inventory strategy, capacity planning, and modeling required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to senior leadership.

The pay for this role ranges from $98,000 - $130,000 annually and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or other determining factors.
