Job Title: Upper Classroom Teacher

Reports To: S.P.A.C.E. Camp Director

Summary S.P.A.C.E. Camp Lower Classroom teachers provides instruction for incoming K-4th grade students within the camp setting. Teachers plan and teach fun and project-based lessons focused on a specific course. Hours of work are 8:45 am - 3:45 pm with a half-hour lunch break.

Qualifications Experience in a classroom setting Teaching Background Teaching degree Certification strongly desired

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Not Limited To • Responsible for 5-15 students ages K-4th grade • Teach and support students in specific courses they are teaching • Create and implement curriculum related to course subject or theme • Coordinate and collaborate with special education staff to support students with disabilities • Consistent reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the students • Responsible for implementing "other job-related duties" as needed

Work Environment Work is performed in a school/classroom environment as well as outdoors. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: • Walk • Stand • Sit • Talk • Hear • Bend • Stoop • Crouch • Kneel Regularly required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
