What will you be doing!
What we are looking for:
Education
Graduation from a recognized institute of advanced technology in a field relevant to the position, or equivalent formal education. OR
Secondary School Diploma or equivalent and normally has more than 3 years of pertinent experience or the equivalent in experience, additional education and/or training.
Experience
One to three years of relevant experience will be considered an asset.
Experience with basic chemistry laboratory techniques is an asset.
Experience with nuclear fuel handling and glovebox work is an asset.
Experience wearing a respirator is an asset.
Experience in a licensed nuclear facility is an asset.
Hands-on experience performing experiments is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in laboratory practices and techniques, record-keeping, and organization skills.
Strong computer skills (including Word and Excel).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to maintain awareness of surroundings and adopt safe lab practices.
An aptitude for learning new skills, meeting deadlines, and achieving objectives and goals.
Ability to wear a respirator is required.
Ability to respond calmly and responsibly to emergency situations.
Security clearance eligibility required:
Level 2 Secret which has a minimum requirement of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom . CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat''''s "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."
