Must have a high school diploma, GED certificate, or TASC completion
certificate.
Meet the following qualifications:
a. Successful completion of the WV Competency Test for Electrician II; OR
b. Hold a valid journeyman electrician's license issued by the State Fire
Marshal.
Hold a valid driver's license.
Be physically and mentally alert.
Demonstrated ability to work well with people.
Demonstrated ability to read, write, compute, and communicate.
Immediate Supervisor: Supervisor of Maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and/or upgrade job related skills consistent with those of a journeyman
electrician.
Safely install and service equipment powered by low voltage, residential voltage,
and high voltage electricity.
Perform minor repairs to equipment, grounds and buildings of the school system.
Rebuild and repair motors for boiler pumps, air compressors, well pumps, sump
pumps, exhaust fans, refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.
Perform duties efficiently and productively.
Maintain work space and assigned vehicle in a neat and orderly fashion.
Maintain positive work habits.
Perform other job related tasks assigned by the Supervisor of Maintenance or
Assistant Superintendent.
