About the Role

Step into the final stage of print production where precision meets pace. As our Saddle Stitch & Post-Press Specialist, you’ll own the finishing floor—from setup to quality checks—bringing magazines, booklets, and specialty pieces to life.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: Starting at $24/hour, based on direct experience

Where We Come From

We began as a quick-print shop and evolved into a leading local print production operation. That same entrepreneurial spirit still drives how we solve problems, support each other, and deliver outstanding work.

A Day in the Life

You arrive, review specs, and dial in your equipment. You set up the saddle stitcher to drive staples precisely through the centerfold of signatures, turning stacks into clean, professional publications. Between runs, you switch to the die-cutter to create distinctive cut-outs and embellishments, then over to the large trimmer to produce uniformly sized press sheets.

Throughout the day, you adjust machine settings for accuracy and throughput, tackle routine maintenance, clean parts, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. You track counts and quality independently, escalate issues fast if something’s off, and jump in to assist other production stations when the schedule shifts. You keep a positive, helpful mindset—especially when learning new tasks or adapting workflows to hit deadlines.

Core Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate production equipment: printers, binders, trimmers, and related finishing systems
  • Run a saddle stitch binding machine for magazines and other smaller, thinner publications
  • Use a die-cutting machine for custom shapes, decorative elements, and individual pages
  • Operate a large trimmer to produce consistent, uniform press sheets
  • Adjust settings to meet specifications accurately and on time
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance; clean, inspect, and resolve minor mechanical issues
  • Maintain quality throughout each run and keep accurate quantity counts
  • Communicate with the team; escalate equipment malfunctions quickly
  • Assist other production stations as needed and support changing workflows
