    Job Title: SAFE Product Owner
    Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite)
    Duration: Long-term Contract (11-24-2025 - 10-30-2026)
    Work Eligibility: US Permanent Eligibility to Work Required

    Responsibilities

    • Product Backlog Management: Act as the primary voice of the customer for the team, meticulously managing and refining the team's product backlog to ensure it aligns with business priorities and consistently maximizes value delivery.
    • Vision and Requirements: Partner with Product Management to translate strategic business needs into well-defined features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring clear understanding for the development team.
    • Prioritization and Value: Prioritize backlog items (features and user stories) based on business value, customer feedback, and technical feasibility using data-driven decision-making.
    • SAFe and Agile Champion: Implement, champion, and ensure adherence to the principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and other agile methodologies.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage and collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders and other Product Owners, to ensure alignment on the product vision, coordinated feature delivery, and cohesive value towards running a successful passenger railroad.
    • Metrics and Analysis: Define, track, and analyze success metrics to measure product value, inform product roadmap contributions, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement or strategic pivots.

    Qualifications

    • Required Certification/Experience: SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager Certification OR a minimum of 3+ years of Scaled Agile Product Ownership or Product Management experience in a large organization.
    • Required Experience: Typically, a minimum of 5+ years of experience as an agile Product Owner.
    • Education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling.
    • Domain Experience: Direct experience with data-focused, logistics/operations, or event-based digital solutions is highly preferred.
    • Technical Tool Skills: Experience utilizing agile lifecycle management tools such as Jira Software, Confluence, and familiarity with tools like FigJam, Jira Align, or AgilityHealth.
    • Core Competencies: Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and facilitation skills, with proven abilities in prioritization, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
