Aldersgate is looking for a Part-Time weekend Safety & Security Officer to help provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere for our residents, guests, and employees. The Safety and Security Officer ensures a safe environment, controlling access, responding to emergencies, conducting patrols, and monitoring safety incidents. Responsibilities include traffic control, alarm monitoring, assistance to residents, and safety drills.

What Youll do:
- Manage the entry and exit points of the community to ensure that only authorized individuals have access.
- Respond swiftly to alarms by investigating and determining the cause, ensuring that proper actions are taken to resolve any issues.
- Conduct regular patrols of the campus, including parking areas, walkways, and buildings, to deter and detect any suspicious activity.
- Be the first point of contact during emergencies, providing assistance and guidance to residents, guests, and staff.
- Perform routine checks of security equipment, such as surveillance cameras, communication devices, and alarms, to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Respond to calls for assistance with empathy and professionalism, ensuring that everyone feels safe and cared for within the community.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all security activities, including patrols, incidents, and interactions with residents, staff, and visitors.
What Youll Need:
- Must have certifications including CPR and First Aid, or ability to obtain such within 90-days
- Must have/be willing to obtain an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification once hired
- Preferred candidate will have EMT certification
- Preferred candidate will have three years previous experience as a security officer, or similar
- Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License
- High School or GED equivalent is preferred
Compensation is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on background and experience, plus our comprehensive benefits package!
