Work Experience Description:

Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.

Job Summary

Assist with university safety compliance in supporting OSHA issue, emergency preparedness, and risk mitigation initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Complete specific safety orientation.
• Assist with all aspects of OSHA safety compliance and emergency preparedness.
• Weekly, monthly, and quarterly OSHA/fire life safety inspections and fire drills.
• May assist with Safety training and monthly booths.
• Render first aid care as needed
• Report potential risk management or occupational safety issues
• Performs other duties as assigned

Inspections require the individual to walk short distances at a time and standing during special events may be required.
