TITLE: Safety Coordinator C

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The primary function of this position is to engage and guide plant personnel in continued safe work practices. This role will lead activities with the primary focus on improving safety within the facility including production, maintenance and shipping areas. The employee will work to develop, implement and train employees on safe practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to communicate with employees and management at all levels.
  • Computer skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate Personnel Injury Report.
  • Generate Accident Investigation when needed.
  • Conduct and maintain monthly inspections and records.
  • Train and test all CFP employees according to the Annual Safety Training schedule.
  • Maintain OSHA 300 Log.
  • Handle all environmental issues pertaining to CFP/Cast Film Plant.
  • Implement the machine-guarding program by checking specific line features and their safeguarding.
  • Conduct routine Safety & Health inspections in CFP/Cast Film Plant.
  • Issue Safety violations when necessary.
  • Maintain MADS records.
  • Team participation in ISO Audits.
  • Keep plant safety rules updated.
  • Issue flame, hot work and construction permits when necessary.
  • Work closely with all CFP personnel to continue having a safe working atmosphere.
  • Prepare and maintain Employee Training Records.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities as determined by the Plant manager that would fall within the normal requirements of Safety Coordinator.
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
  • Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
  • All duties assigned by Plant Manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

  • Inside and outside environments apply.
  • Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
  • Loud noise
