Safety Coordinator

Taylor Farms is hiring a Safety Coordinator.

Position Reports To: VP of Operations

Job Duties Summary: Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a safe and OSHA compliant work environment at Taylor Farms Colorado. This role will conduct a wide range of functions in making sure that safety standards and procedures are always met by ensuring adherence to OSHA General Industry safety standards and actively promoting a proactive safety culture among all Taylor Farms personnel.

Essential duties and Responsibilities

1.        Create and implement written safety plans while ensuring that they are being followed daily.

2.        Conduct safety observations on a regular basis.

3.        Train and educate employees on safety standards and expectations.

4.        Conducting and leading Safety Committee meetings.

5.        Provide recommendations with Management team for improving safety in the workplace.

6.        Investigate incidents that occur onsite and identify probable causes of the incident.

7.        Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, incidents, and related events.

8.        Oversee employee training program (Alchemy) and generate training completion reports for all employees.

9.        Complete other duties as assigned or as needed.

Skills required

1.        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

2.        Must be familiar with computer use and programs such as Microsoft Suite (word, excel, outlook, etc.)

3.        Must always be observant and proactive when it comes to issues related to workplace safety.

4.        Some knowledge of safety regulatory norms and safety procedures

5.        Previous Safety Coordinator experienced preferred.

Compensation

$60,000/year - $75,000/year depending on experience
