RIGHTECH is a leading nationwide provider of technical staffing services, and we are currently seeking qualified candidates for two Safety Coordinator's in Chantilly, VA starting 5/25/2026. This is supporting data center buildouts for a hyperscale integrator.

Job Description:
Summary/Objective:
The Safety Professional is responsible for establishing a safe workplace according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction industry standards, as well as foster a culture of attention to health and safety.

Essential Functions:

  1. Oversees the safety of job sites and all staff.
  2. Conducts risk assessment and enforces preventative measures.
  3. Conducts CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens Training for all Staff as needed
  4. Assists with incident investigations and corrective actions.
  5. Intervenes to stop any acts or processes which are unsafe or do not comply with EHS guidelines.
  6. Assists with reviewing and maintain existing policies and measures and update according to legislation and current practices.
  7. Establishes or creates weekly toolbox talks and ensure compliance.
  8. Assists with quarterly safety meetings to include content, coordination of meeting space, etc.
  9. Assists with coordinating guest safety speakers.
  10. Inspects job sites to identify issues and/or non-conformity.
  11. Provides regular reports and updates to the Safety Manager.
  12. Assists with identifying and developing training programs.
  13. Maintains PPE supplies and order as needed.
  14. Maintains Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  15. Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment.
Competencies:
  1. Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
  2. Accuracy and attention to detail
  3. Excellent communication skills
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, PPT, Teams, Procore, and other programs as needed.
  5. Receive and maintains CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens Instructor certification. (Other Certifications as required)
Work Environment:
This job operates in an office and field environment; it may involve exposure to potentially dangerous materials and extreme temperatures. This role also routinely uses basic construction PPE, standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc.
Travel:
Up to 50% (Travel requirements are very limited, with rare instances outside the immediate vicinity.)
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move equipment and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Physical Requirements:
  1. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods across worksites
  2. Capable of climbing ladders, scaffolds, and stairs to access all areas of the job site
  3. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
  4. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
  5. Capable of wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility clothing, and safety toe footwear for extended durations
  6. Adequate hearing and vision (with or without corrective aids) to identify hazards and monitor work activities
  7. Ability to crouch, kneel, stoop, and bend to inspect confined or low-clearance areas
  8. Able to traverse uneven terrain, including gravel, dirt, and debris
  9. Sufficient hand dexterity to write reports, use mobile devices, and operate safety equipment
  10. Physically able to respond quickly to on-site emergencies or incidents
Position Type:
This is a full-time position. (Hours based on field staff needs, with an on-call schedule)
Required Education and Experience:
  1. High School diploma and/or equivalent of education and experience
  2. 3 years' relevant experience
  3. 1-3 years' experience in instruction or teaching minimum CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens (or other form of instruction)
Preferred Education and Experience:
  1. Bachelors of Science in Occupational Safety or (4 years) equivalent work experience
  2. Construction experience
  3. OSHA 510 (OSHA 30, OSHA 500,)
