Safety Coordinator - Projects Up To $200M+ - Nova/Dc
The Safety Coordinator - Projects up to $200M+ - NoVA/DC will be responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation and enforcement of site-specific safety plans on projects up to $200M+ across the NoVA/DC region
- Conducting regular jobsite safety walks, inspections, and hazard assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Assisting with preconstruction safety planning and onboarding of subcontractors, including reviewing site logistics and risk mitigation plans
- Leading toolbox talks, safety meetings, and daily briefings to reinforce safety expectations on site
- Maintaining accurate safety documentation including incident reports, audits, permits, and training records
- Partnering with superintendents and project teams to proactively identify and address safety risks
- Assisting in the investigation of incidents and near misses, including documentation and follow-up on corrective actions
- Monitoring PPE compliance and overall adherence to jobsite safety protocols
- Promoting a positive safety culture by engaging with field teams and reinforcing best practices

The Safety Coordinator - Projects up to $200M+ - NoVA/DC should have:
- 2-5+ years of experience in construction safety, preferably with a General Contractor on ground-up or large-scale projects
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to enforce safety compliance across active job sites
- Experience supporting safety programs, including site inspections, audits, and hazard analysis (AHA/JHA)
- Exposure to high-risk scopes such as fall protection, scaffolding, excavation, confined space, and equipment operations
- Ability to lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training for field teams and subcontractors
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with Superintendents, Project Managers, and field personnel
- OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications (OSHA 500, CHST, etc.) preferred
